Rose Cottage

Nesfield, near Ilkley

This pretty whitewashed 18th Century country cottage is set in glorious countryside bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The little village of Nesfield is just minutes from Ilkley and Bolton Abbey.

This lovely luxurious self-catering cottage, will sleep four and is decorated and furnished to a high standard. The dining room and sitting room come carpeted and spotless with plain walls and floral curtains, cream and dusk pink sofas and relaxing armchairs and antique furniture. Mullion windows and beams are original to the cottage.

A glass fronted log stove is set between the downstairs sitting and dining room, perfectly cosy for the winter months. In summer, relax on the south facing patio, a great spot for an al- fresco lunch overlooking the lush Wharfe Valley The contemporary galley kitchen is very well equipped, has a modern country feel with great views and opens onto the patio.

Beamed bedrooms have marvellous long views over the valley, the romantic master bedroom with a cream king bed, antique washstand and heaps of storage, the smaller double with pretty blue gingham curtains.

Bring binoculars so you can appreciate the wide variety of birdlife just from the patio.

A warm welcome awaits at Rose Cottage, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and some cake by the log fire or on the patio.

Romantic or otherwise!, short breaks, weekend or midweek stays can be arranged. We have provided accomodation for the Bride and Groom as well as other wedding guests, with nearby Denton Hall and Bolton Abbey proving popular wedding venues.

Ilkley, the perfect base for a holiday, Nesfield just minutes away but with a definite country feel with walks spiralling out from the doorstep.

Short breaks available - mid week & weekend. We should mention that we do not generally accept dogs.
